Dear Homeowner,
Changes. We experience changes every day of our lives. Some are positive changes (such a new promotion or an unexpected discount at the register) and some are, unfortunately, negatives ones (such as an unexpected road-closure or ever-rising gas prices at the pump). You are now experiencing an enormous change in your life – you are ready to sell your home. Of course, I am hoping that this change is followed by a string of other pleasant events, such as a new job, retirement, etc. or even a search of more exciting opportunities! (I once had a friend who sold his home to take a road trip around America with no end-destination in mind).
Having three children, I am getting ready to experience my change as they move away to find their paths in this big world. Like you, I will be facing a change, and, like you, I understand that listing a home is an emotional experience. I understand your fears and frustrations.
I also understand that with the ever-changing market, unexpected roadblocks, and unmet expectations, this process may be rather stressful and disappointing. Who has room for disappointment when the situation deals with your time, effort and money?
Second chances are hard to come by. After a disappointment, it is always difficult to step into the situation again. How will you ever know if the outcome won’t be the same? However, from the perspective of a real estate agent, I am here to dissipate those fears and to make the process as worry-free as possible. I also understand that between all the paperwork and jargon, you may have questions and uncertainties that need to be tended to and answered.
